<p><font face="DejaVu Sans Mono">Hello all -</font></p>
<p><font face="DejaVu Sans Mono">The most recent newsletter from the
BSA Fremont District showed the Webelos Woods event as 23-24
October. I have confirmed the dates with the District Executive.
In past years, this event has coincided with the BSA
International Jamboree on the Air (JOTA), and we have provided a
field station presence so that Scouts could get on the air.
JOTA is the single largest Scouting event in the world. JOTA is
scheduled for 16-17 October, always the third full weekend in
October, and sadly does not coincide with the Webelos Woods
event.<br>

<p><font face="DejaVu Sans Mono">After some discussion, the Board is
in agreement that due to the mismatch in event dates, we will
not participate in this year's Webelos Woods event. We look
forward to the 2017 calendar with the hope that the two events
will once again coincide, and we'll be there to help the Scouts
get on the air and QSO with their counterparts around the world.</font></p>
