This could be an in-house Club thing in that the winning team gets an award from the Club. This is a good way to get new hams on the air, practice some skills, do some Elmering, and just promote some goodwill.

I just have some wires hanging from a 30' pole and a 40 year old radio...no rotating yagi or high tower...just a little bit of wire on a city lot in town. There are several of us that can give assistance in getting set up and answering questions if needed and I know of a Kenwood HF rig that could be borrowed for the contest too...with wire and tuner.
