Sorry if this is a duplicate, the first one never showed up for me. This was
the first one of the day from HiDARG.

All the others showed up but this one,,,, mmmm

To those that could not attend last night's monthly HiDARG meeting..First
up, I want to thank all those folks that attended. 
I will have some more info on other thing we covered during the meeting in
another email.

But for now what all of you have been waiting for...and some not so much. Hi

 

Had a low turnout this election. Less than half of paid membership
participated.

I am sure lots of folks are tired of any type of elections by now, so in
retrospect I can understand that.

Anyway, we had 30 ballots returned that included a few last minute polling
prior to meeting start.

 

Here are the results of our elections and our new and returning board
members.

 

HiDARG Board for 2017

President :  Brady Remsen  W7YPZ

VP Brian Case KU7F

Secretary Max Vaughan KF7MAX

Treasure Ray Sprier KF7AV

Member at Large John Cherry  KE7GYB

 

Our closet race was for VP.

Brian edged out Kent by only 4 votes.

A higher turnout might have made a difference folks, so think about that for
next year.

 

MAL was John with 23 votes and Brian with 7 

 

Brady has held office before in other organizations, so he does bring some
experience to the table.

I would like congratulate all those that stepped up to run for office and
those that continue

to provide support for HiDARG no matter what role they have in our fine
organization.
