Just an update on this project.

I'm in contact with Rachel Knox, the COCC Community Learning Program
Manager.  The Fall schedule is already locked in, but they would like to
meet to discuss getting an offering into the Winter term catalog.  At this
time, I'm trying to lock down a time to meet the week of 17 July.

For those not party to the original discussion -

HIDARG has reached out to COCC Community Learning to explore the possibility
of offering our ham licensing classes through the Continuing Education
program.  It would be a win-win for HIDARG and the college.
We would have the benefit of a regular venue and broad exposure through
their catalog.  COCC would benefit by offering a topic that is of renewed
interest in the community, and is getting a lot of exposure with emergency
prep and the eclipse.  Moreover, the fact that our instructors would not be
compensated helps lower the bar on their breakeven model, reducing the
number of students needed for a go / no-go decision.  This opportunity opens
up the possibility of having a regular, scheduled, and well publicized
offering that would drive the licensing and membership pipeline, not to
mention build a pool of operators for future community service.  We could
also explore the possibility of a series offering - say Tech in the Fall,
General in the Winter, Extra in the Spring.
