[HiDARG-MEMBERS] Some catchup and changes with the HiDARG ByLaws.

ALL:

There are some changes over the past year or so that dictate some rewording
of the current ByLaws.

These proposed changes to the bylaws will be voted on in the November 1st,
2018  Business Meeting.

The images embedded in the email show the current  wording, and the proposed
wording.

The attached document would be the new Bylaws being voted on in November.

Please review the Bylaws in the attached document, if anyone has suggestions
for any other changes 

please email  me directly rather than reply to all.

Article 5    Section B.

Change in the way the dues work, include a subscription option, remove the
pro-rated for members joining mid-year. 

Clarify wording for members who for some reason join one year, skip a year
or two, then rejoin.

 

ARTICLE 2 - DUTIES of the BOARD of DIRECTORS SECTION (F)

Since ARES now has their own 501c3 designation, and manages their own funds

HiDARG is no longer responsible for keeping track of what funds in HiDARG
belongs

to ARES. All such funds were migrated to ARES when ARES obtained their bank
account

a few years ago. So there is no longer a need for the current wording with
respect to HiDARG

managing funds for ARES.

 

 

CURRENT BYLAWS DOCUMENT:





 

 

PROPOSED WORDING:  Annual Dues.

Yellow represents the changes to the current Bylaws.

Section C wording in current bylaws seems to imply that you must make up
past dues if you re-join HiDARG.

Proposed clarification in wording.

Example: You join HiDARG in 2015, pay 2015 dues.drop being active and fail
to pay 2016 or 2017. 

You then decide to become active and support HiDARG again in 2018. 

You are not required to make up 2016/2017 dues first.
