If you have an Android Phone, you can search Google play for EQInfo and add
the application.
Once installed, go to the settings menu,
Select Seismic Data menu.
Under that menu
Check the Use my own Shake box...
Under the Shake ID menu... Put in R206B (that is my shakes ID)
Under notifications, set as you wish, be forewarned that lots of movement
will cause lots of notices.
Also set your filters to at least ignore EQ's of lesser magnitude.. (There
are hundreds every day)
You can set lots of filters..
Under the Earthquake Solutions.
I limit my providers to only a handful in the Pacific Rim.
These providers are tracking and sending notices of earthquakes.
This is what shows up in the primary pages list.
Setting to a few limits notices to a more manageable level.
USGS
NRCan
GNS Science.
When you open the application, you can filter and sort on several factors.
I have it most recent at the top,
When you pick an event, you see a display of the recording.
You can set the filters on that as well, this will limit background noise.
I have lots of noise at my location, but if a quake occurs from about 8pm to
early in the am next day
My device usually can detect it, unless it is in the shadow zone of the
earths core.
