[HiDARG-MEMBERS] Call for nominations to HOTY award.

Ham Of The Year of course.

Every year HiDARG gives out an award to a member that has gone above and
beyond with respect to Ham Radio and HiDARG in general.

Anyone wishing to nominate someone to receive this honor will need to email
or hand a short note to a board member

It needs to include a paragraph of the person they are nominating and the
reason for the nomination.

Who they are, what they have done to promote HiDARG and ham radio, service
to the community, events, etc.

General attitude and participation, etc.

 

This information will be collected and given to the past HOTY recipients to
review and determine who

they feel is deserving of the award for 2018. The award will be presented
either in Jan/Feb monthly meeting.

 

In several meetings we have discussed the basic criteria for the award.

Based on that feedback from members and others, both past and present board
members here they are.

I think I have covered it all.. please feel free to email me direct if I
missed one.

 

1.       Current 2018 board members are not eligible for nomination.

2.       Must be a current HiDARG member for the year of the award. (2018 in
this case.)

3.       Must have been a HiDARG member for at least 2  consecutive years, 3
years minimum.

4.       Must not have received the award during the past 5 years.

 

I have received a few nominations already, both verbal and written.

We prefer written with a short description of who, why, etc.
