Hello Marge,
What it sounds like a directional antenna would not help, unless you
pointed it away from the butte, and picked up a reflected signal, I would
first try a more basic antenna, being so close, see if you could start with
the simplest a paper clip, if that gets good signal, should attenuate the
noise enough, if thats not enough maybe attenuate the existing antenna,
sounds odd, but could partially wrap it in foil to shield it or make it
directional, I assume it's a flat panel type about 6x8" or similar. I doubt
it's the cell tower, at 1 mile + should be more constant of an issue.
A filter for LTE or an attenuator could work, if thats the issue....
Have you tried just picking up the signal directly with the TV (assuming it
has a digital tuner) I know you wouldn't have the recording capability, but
if that works with the same antenna, it's not likely interference, but
problem with the Tablo.
