[HiDARG-MEMBERS] ARES Net

A little bit of history:   the Sunday night net was active for years, but
was discontinued a while back because the ARES EC at the time never could
participate in the net.  It devolved into a 10-minute check-in and gone
scenario with little to no information being disseminated.   So, at the
request of the EC and the ARES membership, it was discontinued.

Regardless of what night it occurs on, if it's just going to be a quick in
and out, it's not serving any useful purpose.  If it's going to be used for
training purposes, information release, etc. then it is worthwhile and
useful to participate in.   A good example of what I'm referring to is the
Clackamas ARES net - they always have information to put out after the
check-ins, the Net Control is routinely rotated instead of being the same
one or two people all the time and the EC (or a designated rep) always have
information to put out.

Anyway, whatever night you guys decide on, they will come!  At least for a
while!
