just thinking out loud...what are the frequencies? 1/4 wave ground
plane..formula in the books 456/f (Mhz) = L (feet)

more gain?  maybe modify a ham 5/8 wave dual bander (or single) to match
the higher frequencies?

I would think it would work ok...get it up in the air so it's
clear...vhf/uhf is line of sight
