To clarify, (thank Paul) 

Per the directions that came with it…

“As you rotate the loop you will find the orientation that places the fox “into the null”. Site through the loop as

if you were looking through a porthole. The Fox is right ahead of you.”

In other words you track the fox for the lowest signal, rather than the strongest when using this loop.

I tested with one of my “foxes” and you get better accuracy if you track via nulls vs strongest signal.

Yes receive in two directions…. If looking through the loop, 

but heavy nulls on the other two directions, very directional otherwise.

It is a shielded mag loop.

At least once I get the hang of it… also tracks down RF noise in and around the house …..

None of my LED lights have any noise on them, and the nosiest item is the fridge display panel.

But drops off to nothing about 10inches away.
