That is a great suggestion!  I went to the Jameco website and looked for
myself.  I came up with this item:

I did a search of the site for "common parts kits" and the link and about a
dozen or so other links came up.  If none of those work for you, you will
need to go for the individual parts instead.

NEWARK electronics might be another source - not local though.

Since Radio Shack closed up its shops it has become difficult to find parts
locally - everywhere.
