<tt>For those already familiar with the KG7AV BPQ32 system, I'll get
right to it -</tt><br>

frequency polling rota as currently in place for Winmor.</tt></li>

<p><tt>For those thinking "What you talkin' 'bout, Willis?"... this
may or may not help....<br>
</tt></p>
<tt>KG7AV operates a multi-function system that is available to
licensed hams. Most services are focused around digital messaging
and mail. Major features include:</tt><br>
<ol>
<li><tt>Gateway to the Winlink mail system for both VHF (145.03
Mhz) and HF (80, 40, 20, and 15m). Internet connectivity from
me to Winlink is backed up by an RF-forwarding set of up to 10
Winlink HF nodes in the US, Canada, and Mexico. System
answers on KG7AV for HF and KG7AV-10 on packet.</tt></li>
<li><tt>Standalone mail system / BBS that is NOT internet
dependent (like Winlink) and is separate from Winlink. It is
part of a constellation of similar BPQ nodes covering the
CONUS. Mail will store and forward via RF link, and can also
forward into the Winlink system or to internet addresses.
System can poll your Winlink account and download messages to
your local mailbox. System will not poll internet accounts.
Support for custom distribution groups and bulletins. </tt><tt><tt>Text
document request / retrieval system. System answers on
KG7AV-1 for both packet and HF.</tt></tt></li>
<li><tt>Webmail access.</tt></li>
<li><tt>2m packet "chat" function (you need command line access to
your TNC) answering on KG7AV-3.</tt></li>
<li><tt>APRS receiver, digipeater, and iGate (receives APRS
broadcasts and forwards to global servers) on KG7AV-4</tt></li>
<li><tt>2m packet digipeater on KG7AV-2.</tt></li>
<li><tt>Live ADS-B receiver and airspace monitoring.</tt></li>
</ol>
<p><tt>What do I need to access this stuff?</tt></p>
<ul>
<li><tt> An active ham license in good standing. All operations
are in accordance with Part 97 rules.</tt><tt><br>
</tt></li>
<li><tt> </tt><tt>For 3 and 7, an internet connection and a web
browser.</tt></li>
<li><tt> For 1,2,4, and 6 on VHF, a radio, a packet TNC
(Kantronics, TinyTrak, OpenTracker, TNC-X), Winlink RMS
Express software.</tt></li>
<li><tt> For 1 and 2 on HF, a radio, sound card TNC (SignaLink
USB, RigBlaster), Winlink RMS Express software</tt></li>
</ul>
<p><tt>If you are already set up for HF digital, then you already
have what you need for the main services.</tt></p>
<p><tt>This is not wireless internet, nor ham-wan. It is older,
venerable packet radio technology. It takes advantage of the
internet, but is really designed to standalone or work in
conjunction with other nodes for that time when there is no
internet. My vision has been to work with county ARES units and
R7HPP hospitals to build a multi-path, grid independent network
of standalone messaging systems throughout the region that work
in harmony with the Winlink system.<br>
