As we talked about on the What's for Lunch Net today (12pm Fridays), I'm
trying to get a list together of folks interested in building a 220 ground
plane antenna. As many of you know, there are a handful of us that always
monitor 223.5. There are some pretty good random ragchews as well. Also,
there has been some interest in starting a once a month 220 net so now's
the time to get that antenna built!! I also know that a lot of people have
a tri-band HT and one of these inexpensive and highly functional
ground-planes with a little stretch of coax and some elevation can turn
that HT into a 220 base station....(I know because Bill helped me build one
a few months ago, and that's what I did) Not to speak for Bill, but I'm
pretty sure he still has one or two 220 loaner rigs available for use.
Bill N7RGB has offered up garage space, knowledge and knowhow. Once we get
a list of folks, we'll get a list of materials and schedule the build.
Hopefully we can do the build in the next week or two, so let us know soon.
So far we have:
